bARBARA is David opp drums-vocals and Re-em H. bass-vocals.
The two have been playing together since 1987, first as members of the
Israeli-based, post-punk band Shalosh Hait, releasing a self titled LP in 1991,
and then in the NY-based 1249, releasing another LP, TV Dog, in 1994.

Interested in pursuing a more aggressive direction, David and Re-em
went on to form bARBARA in 1995. They began working on new material
while looking for a guitarist, until realizing that bARBARA was already
fully-formed.
Their second demo tape "material for the album III" [Jan. 97] stirred
interest in a number of major and indie labels and received favorable
attention from the press. Two tracks from that tape have been released on
compilation albums.
bARBARA recorded "ashtray full fridge empty" in September 97.
The four tracks on the CD are a vicious discharge layered with dark
melody and frenzied fills, jump-cutting from bottomless gloom to the
ecstasy of pure, uplifting despair.
In 1998 bARBARA was ready to record their first full length album, but, Reem had
to leave the US due to family emergency & has spent the following months with
his dying mother.
A day before he left they recorded "DO NO EVIL UPON THIS EARTH", [a very limited
edition cdr]]
after a year they joined forces again for a few gigs and recorded "A blessing
from the Angel of Death" live at Dinamo Dvash on September 1999.
David went back to the US while Reem left to India for 2 years.

In 2002 bARBARA regrouped in Tel-Aviv / Jaffa and started working on new material,
since then bARBARA has been giging and getting envolved in other projects [family
butchers, Lietterschpich, Cadaver Eyes & SiKiS].
In 2004 bARBARA played the Ukrainan Metal Heads Mission festival with great bands
[mental demise, dead infection, pungent stench, epicrise, epitome, castrum, i cum blood & 30 others]

Finally in july 2006 the recording of peger [carcass in hebrew] is DONE,
lookout for special release show around january.2007.
